I've Been Spanked

I have never believed in spanking a child. It is just too offensive and is considered to be abusive. I always found other forms of discipline when my child needed it. I would take away a privilege, ground them or give them an extra chore to do. I learned this from my mom. She raised eight children without spanking us. I truly believe my dear mother was very successful.

Here in the world of Hub Pages I am seriously writing every day, gaining fans, comments and participating as much as I can in forums and questions. I thoroughly enjoy my new found world and all I have learned and gained. I love reading others hubs, the how to pages, learning about tags, links, and adsense.There is a lot to learn.

 My favorite part of the Hub Pages Community is the hubbers. I love that name. It is fun and when I say it to someone who doesn't write, (can you believe there are people in this world who don't write?) they have a very funny look on their face. Then I need to explain about my new found home away from home. I can't imagine a day without writing but there are a lot of people I know who actually hate to write.

For me writing is a form of therapy that I can share if I choose to do so. It is also a gift to be able to write as I do. Thank you grandpa and God. It is relaxing for me to write and I can pen just about anything here on Hub Pages as long as it is cleaned up, and my own work. That is the most important thing to me. It is my work. I despise thieves of any form. Especially of my belongings. I have found an article very similar to one I wrote along with a picture I used in the same article, which was also published. I was shocked and upset to say the least. I did report it and as of this writing have heard nothing. It has been a week.

Now to my spanking. I have been on this awesome community for a month. I am learning each and every time I come back to this site. There is a great deal to learn, but I thought I had the basics down. Apparently I was wrong. I made a boo boo! I published a piece of my work and a while later I placed it on my personal blog site. In one days time my Hub score, which I have been extremely proud of being at a 90, went down to 86 in one day. That is spanking. According to another fellow hubber who is very well known and respected here, "when your score plummets on any given day you have been spanked." It hurts big time. I found this info in a forum thread and that is how I know. My boo boo was placing my work on my blog and that is against the rules here on Hub Pages. I can understand the powers that be want fresh and new content. I understand they have to make rules to be followed. This site would not be what it is without certain rules to follow. All of life has rules to follow. But darn it what is more important here? Me placing my work on my blog or someone else using my work?
