He Needs

Many people who write and learn within this wonderful community have many friends in common. I am among one of these people.  A person I call my 'friend' has been writing here for a couple of years and has a large fan base. He is enormously talented and has a wonderfully unique form of writing. His writings I have called equal to or better than Shakespeare's! His stories, poems and thoughts which he has written are so unique to anything I and many others have encountered in our years of writing and reading that we are all eager to read and read more of his works. Yes several times he has been encouraged to publish what he has written but I don't know if he has done so or if it is the works as yet. I do know that he is an individual who needs his writing community to stay in touch with him during this trying time in his life. He is a somewhat private person but has let it be known to this community that he is ill.

What do you do for a cyber 'friend' who is ill? Well for one I pray a lot more for this man than I do any other person. What else can we do? Lend support to him via his writings in this community. I have noticed the readership of his hubs has fallen by the wayside in a very noticeable number. On some of his awesome hubs there is no comment box. So send him an email just to let him know you read it and support his endeavors. You may not receive an answer and that is ok. This is for him not you. If you live nearby perhaps just stop in to say hi and give him a hug of support. Don't stay too long and zap all his writing energy!

I find it a very sad state of affairs in our world today that when people need people they disappear. Send an e-card or mail a card or just a thinking of you email. Please just do something. I am not going to give this persons name because we all know someone who is in need of something. If you know this individual I hope to heavens you act on this pleading yesterday. Do not let another nano second go by without letting the people in your life know you care. To hell with the dishes, they will wait. To hell with laundry, it will be there later. To hell with the phone let them call back or leave a message. There are people who need your attention pronto! Give it to them, NOW!
