Inspiration

I owe the idea of this saga to my friends here on Hub Pages. Thank you associates, for your stimulation. A writer never knows where the sweet inspiration will come from to weave words together and create a piece to share.

A link to each of their stories has been included. They were the ones my inspiration grew from.

Thank you friends.

Concrete Man

Lots of toads so few princes

I have kissed too many frogs

some were married already, naughty me

some loved the drink more than me

sorry for them

others loved themselves a little too much

to suit me

.

Their loss

Then one day along came a nice guy

fell hard and fast I did

for this bearded long haired braided

hippie lookin' guy

with a Harley and gently worn leather

I had never been happier in all my days

years even, my entire life

he rode in on his cement truck one day

I ran from my house

he ran from his truck

we met in the

middle

he raised me up off the ground

twirled me around

like I hadn't seen him in years not mere hours

we hugged tightly and kissed hungrily

no one else existed.

We were truly in love

it was our replay of Gone With The Wind

but in our very own lives

it was so pure, invigorating and life at its best

felt oh so right

each seeking our unclaimed passion

we were as one in our own little world

melted together as warm chocolate on ice cream.

I hadn't a care in the world

he took care of it all

he let me be me

he helped me discover who I was

I was free to come and go

a first in my life not to be controlled

by a man

he was my friend, my freedom, my lover

we loved as no other has ever loved me

he satisfied me like no one had ever tried

he was sensuous, caressing every nook and cranny

I responded in kind

knew me better than I knew myself

loved my son as his very own

I loved him more for it.

Then one day a wild storm blew through our love

pounding our love into tiny particles of dust and destroying

our very lives we so lovingly shared

releasing destruction upon us both

mistrust set in and threw up walls

made of brick and mortar

very strong and well cured

couldn't be blown apart

yet we were

blown apart by this hateful wicked storm

that destroyed our lives

and our love

and trust in one another

this stormĀ

who blew us apart

forever!

Oh to reverse this wild storm

and blow the love back

into my life

to stay and love

forever!

Romantic Story. Thanks for sharing! So many men don't get it, but it sounds like your concrete man did.

So sorry for the storm you're going through, but I hope and pray it's not over and that you can get through it. A man like that is worth fighting for.

Yes he did 'get it.' The storm was too bad and broke us apart long ago. Your reaction tells me my feelings came through and I thank you so much. I wish it wasn't over but sadly it is. Your comment is very sweet.
